We have reached the fourth week in the book club at Mujer Verdadera. We are looking through the pages of the book Adorned: Living the Beauty of the Gospel Together , written by Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth. If you have not purchased it yet, you can find it at Editorial Portavoz and any of its distributors , in the Revive Our Hearts store or on Amazon .
This week we will focus on chapters 7 and 8:
- On freedom
- A “sophron” state of mind
Laura González De Chávez, Patricia de Saladín and Yamell de Jaramillo share a practical conversation about the content of these chapters.
Now is your turn. Here we share some of the questions they discussed so that you can take the initiative to talk to a younger or older woman.
- Nancy says addictions have to do with a deviation in worship. What does this mean in real life?
- What are some places or ways that women tend to seek satisfaction or mitigate pain?
- Why is it important to involve other sisters in Christ in our struggle with addictions, and not think that we can handle them alone?
- What is the root of behaviors that are out of control? (page 162 of the book)
- How can the absence of self-control affect other spiritual virtues and disciplines in our lives?
If you want more questions like these for your group or for your next meeting with a friend, we invite you to purchase the Adornadas digital study guide at this link.
There is more! Here we share the teaching videos and dramas that go hand in hand with the chapters of the week. You can use them for your own consumption or to share them in your study group meetings.
