Where do you live?

I am from Minnesota in the USA, but currently live in northern Indiana. 

What do you do for Revive Our Hearts?

I am currently the Spanish digital content manager and events coordinator for Reviva Nuestros Corazones.

How long have you been working for ANC?

I have been in ANC for a year and a half.

How did you find out about ANC?

When I was 22 years old, someone gave me the book Lies that Women Believe and the Truth That Sets Them Free . I had no idea how that book would so profoundly change my walk with Christ. Then I found out about the Revive Our Hearts shows on the radio and listened to them for the next 10 years. Until I accepted a position with the ministry. In fact, it was during my interview – upon finding out that I knew Spanish – that I learned about the division in Spanish: Revive Our Hearts.

What is your favorite ANC radio series? 

My favorite series is  Lessons from the Life of Joshua . It impacted me in several ways in my life. I heard it for the first time at the beginning of my journey as a believer, during a difficult time and with many struggles. I love studying Joshua's character through all his faults and his faith. It is a teaching of resilience in the Christian life: focusing on starting well to finish well. How to stay in the race of faith and continue growing every day of our lives. Also a lesson about learning to follow well to lead well.

What book are you currently reading? 

I am reading the book of  James and The Patriarchs: Encountering the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob . It has been fascinating to learn in depth about the relationships and characters in the book of Genesis. I am also reading Great Cloud of Witnesses by EW Bullinger which discusses the faith of each person mentioned in Hebrews 11. 

What is your favorite Bible verse and why? 

My favorite verse is Philippians 3:8-11

«And furthermore, I count all things as loss in view of the incomparable value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For His sake I have lost everything, and count it as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith, and knowing Him, the power of His resurrection and participation in His sufferings, becoming like Him in His death, in order to reach the resurrection from the dead.

It's my favorite because every day I have to remind myself that there is nothing better than having Christ. That knowing Him is more precious and valuable than anything in this life, more precious than having a husband or a savings account. Knowing Christ and walking in his ways is not compared to the riches of this world. This helps me not to be distracted in this world.

What has been one of the biblical truths that has impacted your life and why? 

Truth: God has not forgotten me. 

I have struggled with relationships, I have felt excluded or uninvited by my friends or always “the friend”, never the girlfriend. I have felt forgotten. Forgotten by my friends, and not considered marriage potential. At times I thought God ignored me or forgot me. But the truth of the Bible has shown me that He loves me and is on my side. The Word has taught me that God expressed his love by withholding what is good so that I can treasure what is priceless. I always think of Psalm 73:25, 

«Whom do I have in heaven, but You ?

Apart from You, I desire nothing on earth."

Tell us a bit about yourself 

I love the environment! I like walking, skating (on the street and on ice) and riding a bike. I kayak on rivers and play sports with friends. I also play a lot with my dog ​​and I like to snuggle with her. I love studying the Bible, meeting with friends to talk about everything and having a coffee. I am single and this may be why I have more time to do all those activities. ;)

How do you serve in your local church? 

I serve with Young Life , an outreach program for teens and college students, through relationship building, clubs, and camps.
